Making applesauce for food storage. It's really quite simple and doesn't take all day in the kitchen. In little more than about an hour, you can have fresh, home made, warm applesauce that's just awesome. It stores really good too if you want to add it to your current food storage.
A couple bags of apples. Peel, core, and chop. Cook it with water and lemon juice for about 20 minutes. Mash it up and put it in jars. Boil those jars for another 20 minutes... Tadaaa!
